Raymond Graber‘s immersive light sculpture transforms the sense of perception, challenging the human eye’s sense for scale and time with a celestial experience

In an ethereal interplay between light and space Graber’s light sculpture creates a perceptual portal, inviting the viewer to explore the boundaries between tangible and visual perception. In a world inundated with distractions, One Light (2022) offers a sanctuary of quiet reflection, inviting viewers to pause, and immerse themselves in the ineffable beauty of light. The wall sculpture One Light incorporates lightwaves as an artistic medium, creating an immersive visual experience with a mesmerizing play of ambient glow in a gradually evolving color spectrum inspired by the firmament’s chromatic color palette of twilight.

Over the course of time the wall mounted sculpture progressively transitions between atmospheric color hues, slowly intensifying and retreating to produce an infinite spectrum of light experiences, with multiple light arrays creating continuously changing infinite graduations of light intensity and subtle blending of color values.

Raymond Graber’s light sculptures are informed by decades of traveling the world as a professional photographer, experiencing an infinite range of atmospheric light and seasonal colorspaces in locations all over the world.

Known as a visual thinker and master of lighting, Graber now refines his photographic eye to curate conceptual light experiences, creating mesmerizing objects deeply influenced by his interest in spirituality, science, and the nature of human perception.

Raymond Graber was born in Ohio in 1967. He currently lives in San Francisco and continues to travel the world in search of light wave inspiration.
